Electric cars work by using electricity stored in large batteries to power electric motors, which in turn drive the wheels. Unlike traditional gasoline cars that rely on internal combustion engines (ICE) burning fuel to create mechanical energy, electric vehicles (EVs) convert electrical energy directly into mechanical energy with much higher efficiency and fewer moving parts.
